SELKIRK – George E. Ostrander, Jr., 57, passed away suddenly Friday, November 27, 2009 doing what he loved best, hunting with his son.  George has worked for GE/SABIC for 29 years.  He was known for his love of life and family, quick wit and humor and his love of the outdoors.

     Survivors include his children, Brian T. (Jill) Jones and Rebecca (Casey) Miller;  siblings, Cindy (Michael) Vatalaro, Jeffery (Kathi) Ostrander, Pamela Ostrander and Jody (Lina) Ostrander;  grandchildren, Christopher and Preston Jones and Nicholas Miller;  nieces and nephews, Daniel, Cassie, Zoee, Sean (Veronica), Sarah, Kayla, Taylor, Joshua, Katelyn and Jacob;  and great uncle to Shattarah.  George was predeceased by his parents, George and Judith Ostrander, brother Michael, nephew Michael and grandson Ryan.

     Funeral services will be held 7 PM Tuesday, December 1st at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena.  Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 3 to 7 PM.  In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of George may be made to the East Berne Fire Department or the Helderberg Ambulance Squad.
