RAVENA – Roger P. Mulligan, 81, passed away peacefully Tuesday,
April 26, 2011 with his loving family by his side. Roger was born in
Teaneck, NJ son of the late John and Estelle Mulligan and had lived
in Ravena most of his life. He was a 1947 graduate of R-C-S High
School and was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War in
England for 4 years. Roger had worked 19 years at Remington Rand as
a service repairman and retired after 22 years as Chief of
Maintenance for the Albany Housing Authority. He was a member of the
Mother McAuley Council 3424 Knights of Columbus and a communicant of
St. Patrick’s Parish, Ravena.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; daughters, Jane Ann (Duane)
Whalen, Judi (Steve) Sprague and Jacquelin Hotaling; adored
grandchildren, Allison, Julia and Kylie Whalen, Nathan and Skylar
Sprague, Kayla, Michael and Sara Hotaling; brother, Arthur (Beverlee)
Mulligan; friend and brother-in-law, John Margiasso; and many
special nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his brothers,
Edward, Eugene and Bernard Mulligan and sisters, Rosemary (Frank)
Rowe and Estelle (George) DuJardin.
Funeral services will be held 9AM Saturday, April 30th at St.
Patrick’s Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s
Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home,
Ravena on Friday from 5 to 7 PM. Contributions in memory of Roger
may be made to the Ravena Rescue Squad, PO Box 144, Ravena, NY 12143
