RAVENA – April L. Mevoli, 21, passed away suddenly Thursday, February 25, 2010.  April was a 2006 graduate of R-C-S High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College.  She was an avid soccer player and her love of the sport kept her busy as a goalkeeper on several teams.

     Survivors include her mother, Connie (Matthew) Burns-Mortefolio of Ravena;  father, Lee Mevoli of FL;  brother, Joseph Mortefolio of Ravena;  grandparents, Cora Burns of TX, Matthew and Madaleine Mortefolio of Ravena and Richard and Catherine Dawson of Ravena;  and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  April was predeceased by her grandfather Robert Burns.

     Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Monday, March 1st from 4 to 6 PM.  All other services will be private at the convenience of the family.  The family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions in memory of April be made to the R-C-S School District, April Mevoli Scholarship Fund, 26 Thatcher St., Selkirk, NY 12158.
