RAVENA
– Joanna J. “OMA” Maki, 50, entered eternal life suddenly Thursday,
May 19, 2011. Joanna lived all her life in the Ravena area. She was
the daughter of the late Bud and Joan Eissing. She was devoted to
her loving husband, children, grandchildren, brother and sisters.
Joanna was loving and outgoing to others and an inspiration to
anyone who came in contact with her.
Survivors include her loving husband James S. Maki; children, Amy
(Jeff) Riley, Jimmy, Ashley and Aubrey Maki; siblings, Marybeth
(Andy) Bonaparte, Joseph (Tammy) Eissing, Charlotte (Gary) AuClaire
and Susan (Jeff) Miller; grandchildren, Chloe Pauley and Shelby
Riley, Abigail Maki-Davis and Mackayla Naill; nieces and nephews,
Megan and Matt, Tracy, Bridgette and Gary, Lindsey and Chelsey,
Melissa, Samantha and Amanda, Kristin and Bruce, Matt, Patricia and
Carolyn, Kyle and Kim, Scott and Jen and Terri, Tracey and Tammy;
Aunt, Jeane Shafer; the Maki family, Edward and Betty Maki, Jane
Tyrell, Donald and Gloria Maki, Bruce and Nancy Maki, Victor and Sue
Maki, Helene Maki and Donna and Bob VanDenHouten.
Funeral services will be held 9 AM Monday, May 23rd at St. Patrick’s
Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery,
Coeymans. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on
Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. Contributions in memory of Joanna may be made
to the Center for the Disabled, 314 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY
