SELKIRK – Delia “Kay” Pemrick Craft, 88, passed away peacefully with
her family by her side Saturday, July 17, 2010. Kay was born in
Watervliet on January 31, 1922 and had lived in Selkirk for 57
years. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.
Kay retired from the NYS Department of Audit and Control after
26 years of service in 1988. Kay enjoyed working with numbers and
financial challenges throughout her career and was a very dedicated
employee.
She enjoyed many hobbies including travel. Her travels took
her from the white sands of Florida to the green fields of Ireland
and on to the botanical diversity of the Arizona deserts. Kay
observed nature with interest and amazement wherever she went. Her
children and grandchildren greatly enjoyed traveling with her
whenever they could. Kay was also an avid reader and bowler. She
bowled for over 20 years, receiving numerous awards during that
time.
Survivors her are her children, Jeannie (Anthony) Aurelia of
Troy, Rita (Brian) Goff of East Durham, Mike (DeeDee) Craft of Lake
George and John Craft of Chandler Arizona; grandchildren, Corey,
Rhonda, Kellie, Sean, Tanya, Laura, Kyle, Jessica, and Brianna;
seventeen great-grandchildren; and her brother John Pemrick of
Sarasota, Florida. She is also survived by many loving nieces and
nephews.
Kay was predeceased by her husband Glenford Craft, son David
and brothers Martin, Thomas, James, Alfred and sister Helen.
Funeral services will be held 9 AM Wednesday, July 28th at St.
Patrick’s Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s
Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home,
Ravena on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions
in memory of Kay may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New
Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. |
