RAVENA – Lucy (Lucia) Ann Pagano Bonafide, 85, passed away
peacefully on April 18 following a long illness. Lucy was the
daughter of the late Pasquale and Giovannia Pagano. She attended
Coeymans High School and worked for many years at the Atlantic
Knitting Mills in Ravena. She was the devoted wife of Frank C.
Bonafide, with whom she shared 54 years until his passing in 2005.
Lucy was happiest caring for her home and family. She enjoyed many
years babysitting her grandchildren and also preparing large dinners
for her entire family. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s
Church, Ravena and was a founding member of the Columbiettes, Mother
McAuley Council, Ravena.
Lucy is survived by her sons, Frank C. (MaryBeth) Bonafide of Delmar
and John A. (Anna Marie) Bonafide of Ravena, as well as her adoring
grandchildren, Katherine, Jason, Christopher and Lucy Bonafide. She
is also survived by her sister, Florence Tiberia of Glenmont. Lucy
was predeceased by her loving grandson, Justin John Bonafide, her
brothers, Pasquale (killed in action World War II), Bert, Dominick,
James and Thomas Pagano and her sisters, Betty Petramale, Rose
Pagano and Mary Varcasia. She also leaves behind many nieces,
nephews, grandnieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 26th at 9
AM at St. Patrick's Church, Main St., Ravena. Family and friends may
call at the Babcock Funeral Home Monday, April 25th from 4 to 7.
Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of St. Patrick's Cemetery,
